And another truck from Showcase Miniatures

The new Showcase Miniatures #49 kit features the “I” Type cab with a material handling crane. It can be built in any of the three configurations shown above.

Showcase Miniatures #50 is a builder’s pack of “I” Type 4000 Series cabs and chassis. The kit has parts to make two International crew cab trucks. These items are only available direct from Showcase Miniatures.

N2043 Peugeot 201 Berline (Era II)

The Peugeot 201 is the first Peugeot with the 0 in its name, and was produced from 1929 to1937. The 201 was a simple and very popular car that was built in numerous body styles. The model shown is the original saloon version of model years 1929-33 (epoch II). The model contains many nice details such as grille, footboards, spare wheel and trunk. The model consists of two unpainted parts: the chassis with seats and the body. This allows proper painting the kit and possibly modification of the kit.  Model is delivered unpainted.

N2044 Peugeot 201T Camionette (Era II)

The shown model is the pickup version of model years 1931-’33 (epoch II). The model contains many nice details such as grille, footboards, spare wheel and wine barrels. The model consists of four unpainted parts: the chassis with seats, the body, the cargo space and the wine barrels. This allows proper painting the kit and possibly modification of the kit.  Model is delivered unpainted.

N2045 Peugeot 201T Boulangère (Era II)

The shown model is the bakery van version of model years 1931-33 (epoch II). The model contains many nice details such as grille, footboards, spare wheel and cargo bay. The model consists of three unpainted parts: the chassis with seats, the body and the cargo bay. This allows proper painting the kit and possibly modification of the kit.  Model is delivered unpainted.

N2046 Fiat 500A Topolino / Simca 5 (Era II)

The Fiat Topolino (literally “little mouse”) was produced from 1936 to1955. The little Fiat was a very affordable car of great importance for the Italian car industry. In total over half a million Topolinos were produced in Italy. The Fiat 500 was also produced under license in the UK as Simca 5.The model shown is the original version of model years 1936-48. The model contains many nice details such as grille, original wheel caps and a spare wheel. The model consists of two unpainted parts: the chassis with seats, the body. This allows proper painting the kit and possibly modification of the kit.  Model is delivered unpainted.

N2540 SET 3x Peugeot 201 (Era II)

The set is a combination of models N2043, N2044 and N2045. Models are delivered unpainted.

N2546 SET 2x Fiat 500A Topolino / Simca 5 (Era II)

The set is basically 2x N2046. Models are delivered unpainted.

X2013 SET 5 cars from the 1930s

Special Christmas edition comprising of five different cars from the ’30s, namely the Citroën Traction Avant, the Peugeot 201 in 3 versions and the Fiat Topolino. This set can only be ordered in December 2013 and will be around 25% cheaper than the separate models.

Showcase Miniatures rolls out a new kit





The new Showcase Miniatures #48 kit is a crew cab “I” Type maintenance-of-way truck. The hydraulic boom can be installed in an extended or retracted position. The kit includes one set of details from Showcase Miniatures’ Detail Set #45, and the model can be built with either tandem or single rear axles!  And, you will want to add Showcase Miniatures’ Detail Set #47 as well. This welcome accessory is a 4-pack of etched stainless steel “West Coast” style mirrors.

Showcase Miniatures #46 is a builder pack of 1960s “I” Type cabs and chassis. The kit has parts to make two International Loadstar trucks. All of the items are available direct from Showcase Miniatures.

Introducing RAILNSCALE

RAILNSCALE specializes in European pre-war car models in N scale. All the models are designed in-house. The models are 3D-printed and shipped by Shapeways. RAILNSCALE started making their own models because they could not find many vehicles that met their criteria.

By using 3D-printing, it is possible to create and sell models that would not otherwise be commercially available. Using the advantage of the 3D printing, there are less modeling boundaries. No molds are needed. All the models are delivered as unpainted kits. Each model consists of multiple components allowing the customer to paint the models appropriately, adding windows or even installing miniature figures. Extensive building instructions and painting suggestions are available on RAILNSCALE web site.

The current lineup consists of the following models (as of November 1, 2013):

 

N2001 Reichspostbus DAAG (era II)
This model is based on a 1925 DAAG Reichspost bus. The model is equipped with various details like a staircase, roof rack, a spare tire and a trailer hitch. The Reichspost bus consists of two unpainted parts: the chassis and body with benches. This allows for painting of the interior and even placing of miniature figures on the bus.

 

N2002 Car-Alpin - open roof DIXI (era II)
This model is based on a 1926 DIXI convertible bus. This type of bus was used as sightseeing buses in cities and in the countryside in the 1920s and 1930s. The convertible buses were used by tourist operators and the Reichspost. The model is equipped with various details like footboards, luggage, an open soft top and a spare tire.

 

N2003 Car-Alpin - closed roof DIXI (era II)
This 1926 DIXI bus is the same as N2002 but with the top raised.

 

N2004 City bus DAAG (era II)
This model is based on a 1925-28 DAAG city bus. The model is equipped with various details like an open entrance, grab handles and a spare tire.

 

N2011 Luggage trailer (era II-III)
This trailer can be coupled behind the Reichspostbus (N2001).

 

N2021 Phänomobil V (era I-II)
The Phänomobil V is a three-wheeled vehicle built by PHÄNOMEN in respectable numbers from 1912-1927. The V has the four seats and a convertible roof. The model contains various nice details such as an air-cooled four cylinder engine, a spare wheel, spoke wheels and footboards. The model consists of three parts: the chassis with engine, the body and spare wheel.

 

N2022 Phänomobil Lk (era I-II)
The Phänomobil Lk is a 1912-1927 closed delivery van built by PHÄNOMEN.

 

N2023 Phänomobil Reichspost (era II)
This Phänomobil is a German Reichspost version of the three-wheeled vehicle built by PHÄNOMEN. From 1920 on, the German Reichspost purchased 150 of these tricycles each year.

 

 

N2041 Citroën Traction Avant (era II)
The CITROËN Traction Avant was a very popular and innovative car. It was built from 1934-1957 in large quantities. Many different body styles were produced. The model depicts the ‘Berline’ style ‘lightweight’ body, that was used for the Citroën 7CV und Citroën 11CV Légère from 1935 – 1938. (These cars are better known in English speaking countries as Citroën Twelve and Citroën Fifteen Light). The model has many nice details such as grille, original wheel caps, bumpers and spare wheel cover.
