The Wheels of Time Mack buses have arrived

The new run of the Wheels of Time Mack C 49 transit motor coaches announced last October arrived in June. While the supply has been adequate for most of the versions offered, the school bus (shown above), railroad maintenance-of-way bus, and Richmond Greyhound Lines paint schemes have sold out at many of the hobby shops that carry these popular Wheels of Time models. (And yes, my model arrived with the “SCHOOL BUS” destination sign upside down, but that was easily fixed after the photo was taken. “CHARTER” is the other option for the destination sign.)

Showcase Miniatures model #59 just might grab you!

The Showcase Miniatures KW T800 grapple truck kit can be built with hi-rail equipment attached for maintenance of way use, or any number of other configurations depending on the modeler’s imagination. The kit consists of cast metal parts including the grapple loader boom, which may also be purchased separately. The prototype KW T800 went into production in 1986, and Walter Vail of Showcase Miniatures has assured us that the popular T800 cab will show up with additional configurations in future kits! This model is available direct from Showcase Miniatures.
