F-toys Construction Set No. 1
F-toys Construction Set No. 1 was released in 2009. The set consisted of a Hino semi-tractor with an extra wide lowboy trailer, a Komatsu PC200-8 excavator in both "Hybrid" (shown below) and standard paint schemes and a Kato SR-250R mobile crane.

The original trailer is 132 N scale inches wide, but it can be modified to represent a typical North American style lowboy that is 102 scale inches wide. Narrowing the trailer by 30 scale inches is accomplished by making two cuts along the length of the trailer 15 scale inches each side of the center line. The halves of the trailer are then glued back together to create the “102 inch wide” trailer.
In addition to removing the center section of the trailer, the inner duals were removed and two axles were made from music wire to replace the center sections of the axles. The diamond plate over the axles came from “bed” of the Hino semi-tractor.

Notes: The F-toys models really are 1:150 scale, but prototype excavators come in a variety of sizes. Without having a similar 1:160 scale model to compare the 1:150 scale model to, the size discrepancy may go unnoticed.
