Notes:  The Mazda Demo was also marketed as the Mazda 2. The 2005-11 Toyota Vitz was marketed in North America as the Yaris. The Kato Toyota Vitz represents the 1999-2005 model years and is 1:160 scale. The two-door version of this car was marketed in North America as the Echo.

TomyTec Car Collection No. 7

Car Collection No. No. 7 was initially released in 2009. The most recent release of the vehicles in this set as of February, 2013 was Basic Set G2. The four body styles in the collection consist of a Datsun Caravan, a Mazda Bongo, a Subaru Sambar and a Honda TN7.

From left to right:  Herpa Mini, TomyTec Subaru Sambar and Honda TN7

Notes: The dimensions of the Subaru Sambar are very close to the 1:160 scale dimensions of a modern Kei mini truck. Many of these trucks are imported into North America, and they are sold primarily for off-highway use. They are often used as utility vehicles on farms and ranches as well as parks and golf courses. However, some states do allow limited use of these mini trucks on specified roads.

TomyTec Car Collection No. 8

Car Collection No. 8 was initially released in 2009. The most recent release of the vehicles in this set as of February, 2013 was Basic Set H2. The four body styles in the collection consist of a 2002 Nissan Elgrand, a 2008 Toyota Alphard, a 1995-98 Honda Odyssey and a 2003 Toyota Estima.

From left to right: Atlas Ford Explorer, TomyTec Honda Odyssey and Toyota Estima

The Odyssey is the smallest vehicle in the set, and here it is parked between an Atlas Ford F-150 and Ford Taurus.

Notes: The Honda Odyssey model represents the first generation Odyssey that was marketed in North America for the 1995 through 1998 model years. The second generation Odyssey was larger but similar in appearance to the original, and was marketed and assembled in North America for the 1999 through 2004 model years. The dimensions of the 1:150 scale TomyTec model are very close to what the dimensions would be for a 1:160 scale model of a second generation Odyssey. Therefore, it may be possible to use the TomyTec Odyssey as stand-in for the newer version of itself.

TomyTec Car Collection No. 9

Car Collection No. 9 was initially released in 2010. The most recent release of the vehicles in this set as of February, 2013 was Basic Set I1. The four body styles in the collection consist of a 1961-66 Subaru Sambar van, a 1959-69 Mazda K360, a 1963-68 Toyota Toyoace (Dyna) pickup and a Daihatsu Kogyo C08.
