DM-Toys item 17002 is a 3-axle low bed trailer with a red Scania semi-tractor and equipment load.

DM-Toys item 17500 is a set of 16 wheels with real rubber tires 6.4 mm in diameter.  The set also includes 8 axles that are 12 mm long.  The overall diameter of tire and wheel is approximately 40.3 N scale inches.

DM-Toys item 17600 is a set of 16 wheels with real rubber tires 4.9 mm in diameter.   This set also includes 8 axles that are 12 mm long.  The overall diameter of tire and wheel is approximately 30.8 N scale inches.

The photos and link for the new Hoch Miniaturen police water cannon were provided by Markus Schiavo.  Hopefully the N scale people on your layout are well behaved, but if not, then maybe just the presence of the water cannon will deter any disorderly conduct on their part.

DM Toys is offering a model of a PistenBully 400 snow groomer from JC. The model comes as an attachment to a keychain, and is a 1:160 scale replica of the real thing!  The prototype is marketed around the world. Information on the prototype is available on the PistenBully USA web site. The photos supplied by Markus Schiavo show the model with and without the keychain, and in comparison to the discontinued I.M.U. N scale model of a very similar machine.

Fleischmann has released Volvo FH12 semi-tractors with three axle refrigerated semi-trailers. The trailers are approximately 45 scale feet long with single rather than dual tires. Five paint schemes are available with this release. More information and photos can be found on Fleischmann’s web site. The two tractor-trailers shown, 982003 and 982005, were purchased from DM Toys. If these look somewhat familiar to you, the ROCO logo can be found on the bottom of the trailers.

The Wiking Unimog U 411 that was featured in Wiking’s new models for June is now available in Germany, and should be available soon in North American hobby shops. The announcement of the new tooling for this model was made at Nuremberg in February.

The third release of the Wiking Volkswagen Tiguan that was featured in Wiking’s updated models for June is available now in Germany, and should be available soon in North American hobby shops. Both of the Wiking models shown came direct from Germany via DM Toys.

Marks Metal Model Classics 1958 Buick Limited is available once again, this time as a “street machine” or perhaps a stock race car is a better description of the model. The examples shown above also came from DM Toys in Germany.

Markus Schiavo has provided photos and a link to the new Hoch Miniaturen airport crash tender based on a MAN prototype. The model is cast in resin, handmade, has four working LED emergency lights and includes the driver! Other Hoch Miniaturen models may be viewed in Markus Schiavo’s spur-n.com encyclopedia of N scale vehicles.

TWH Collectibles, LLC has released the P&H 4100XPC Electric Mining Shovel in 1:160 scale! The model is available in “showroom” condition, or as a weathered machine, ready to place in that large empty mine pit on your layout. These very impressive and limited production N scale models are available direct from DiecastModels.co.

The Showcase Miniatures’ #44 “I” Type Builder’s Pack consists of parts to make two International 4000 Series trucks. The prototype was introduced in 1989, and was replaced with the DuraStar design in 2002. Here is Joe Warren’s explanation for the concept of the model: “It is designed so that you can custom build and outfit it according to the particular utility of your choice. What you get is two chassis and two cabs and a cut to length drive shaft for both models. The cab and chassis is much like you would buy from a fleet sales department where you would outfit it on your own to your desired utility.” The models are available direct from Showcase Miniatures.

Here are the parts supplied in the Showcase Miniatures’ #44 “I” Type Builder’s Pack. The tandem differentials could be separated with a sharp hobby knife or razor saw if your fleet is in need of single rear axle trucks.

The Showcase Miniatures’ “F” Type semi-tractors are based on the Ford CLT-9000. The day cab is Showcase Miniatures #42 and the sleeper is Showcase Miniatures #43. The models can be ordered direct from Showcase Miniatures.

Peter Harris of N Scale Kits has informed us that the etched brass frets for this single axle auto trailer have arrived!  The prototype trailer ran on the New York Central and Milwaukee Road Flexi-Van systems and on Milwaukee Road flat cars. Most shipments were Plymouth Valiants or Hudson sedans and station wagons. The decks were fixed and did not move hydraulically, so autos were loaded by ramp onto the trailers. The autos were then tied down; there were no side restraints on the upper deck!
