Remove and shorten axles (if necessary)
Remove body to access headlights and side marker lights (tabs)
If you lose a headlight, replace with Microscale Kristal Klear
1980 model color front turn signals/parking lights with orange marker
“Silver” back of headlights and turn signals/parking lights
Sand paint from tabs that fill the openings for the side marker lights
Apply silver to the tabs (marker, paint or paint pen)
Apply orange to front marker light tabs and red to rear marker light tabs
Blacken wheel wells and front bumper guards
Decal license plates (optional)
Enhance taillights with red marker or paint (optional)
Selective weathering with powdered Tempera paint
Challenges
Removing the body from the chassis without breaking the side tabs. Shims can be used (such as a small screwdriver) to keep the body from snapping back onto the tab.
