TomyTec Collections (Continued)

TomyTec Car Collection No. 11

Car Collection No. 11 was initially released in 2010. The most recent release of the vehicles in this set as of February, 2013 was Basic Set K1. The four body styles in the collection consist of a 1958-71 Subaru 360, a 1959-72 Daihatsu Midget MP, a 1956 Toyopet 2-door wagon and a 1956 Toyopet 4-door Crown.

Notes: The prototypes for two of the four of these vehicles were imported into the U.S. The Daihatsu Midget MP was marketed in the U.S. as the Tri-Mobile, while the Subaru 360 was only marketed in the U.S. for the 1968-70 model years. The Toyopet Crowns were not marketed in the U.S. until 1958.

TomyTec Car Collection No. 12

Car Collection No. 12 was initially released in 2010. There have been no basic set releases of the vehicles in this collection as of February, 2013. The four body styles in the collection consist of a 2006 Nissan AD, a 2003 Toyota Prius, a 1979-83 Toyota Crown S110 and a Nissan ambulance.

Notes: The Tomix Toyota Crown represents a 1984-87 models and has been marketed as an N scale automobile since the late 1980s; however, it is actually 1:150 scale. It has the 1:160 scale length and width dimensions of a full-size sedan from the 1980s, similar to a Mercury Grand Marquis.

TomyTec Car Collection No. 13

Car Collection No. 13 was initially released in 2011. There have been no basic set releases of the vehicles in this collection as of February, 2013. The four body styles in the collection consist of a 1968-77 Toyota Dyna U10, a Mitsubishi Canter, a 1974-79 Toyota Corolla and a 1967-80 Toyota Land Cruiser.

Notes: The Mitsubishi Canter with the box van and Toyota Dyna in a special paint scheme were secret or surprise models in Car Collection Volume 13.

TomyTec Car Collection No. 14

Car Collection No. 13 was initially released in 2011. There have been no basic set releases of the vehicles in this collection as of February, 2013. The four body styles in the collection consist of a 1993-98 Honda Today, a 2009-present Mitsubishi i-MiEV, a 1993-98 Suzuki Wagon R and a (10th Generation) Daihatsu Hijet Cargo.

Notes: A North American version of the I MiEV went on sale in December, 2011. The North American version is 11 inches longer, 4.3 inches wider and slightly taller than the Japanese version.
